Even Pennsylvania? - Daily Caller: "University of Colorado model prediction model points to big Romney win": "A presidential election prediction model developed by two University of Colorado professors points to a big win for GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney in November.  The model, the only of its kind to use more than one state-level economic indicator, has correctly predicted the winner of every presidential election since 1980."  The fundamentals of this election still matter.

A somewhat drier take:

"The model, developed recently, was tweaked until it had 100% accuracy for elections since 1980."

It's akin to those goofy statistical snippets you hear during football games. You like them if they favor your team, and you dismiss them if they don't. In the end they don't really mean anything either way.

It reminds me of the octopus who kept picking World Cup winners.
