Holy crud! You mean an entrenched industry that has controlled government policy for decades, and which pays no taxes, is doing better now, right this minute, than a startup industry requiring investment during the biggest economic collapse of the last 75 years?
As the esteemed Economic Fellow Emeritus Ralph Wiggum would say, "But that's unpossible!"
Please change "investment" to "goverment subsidy". The progressives like to talk about how the government likes to "subsidize" the oil industry; the "conservatives" like to talk about how the government likes to subsidize the "green energy" sector (like Soylandra, which isn't a scandal because only a $500 million of our tax dollars were wasted). Regardless of PvC, a proven form of power generation which meets the population's needs versus an industry which has yet to meet the needs of the population......
