After excitedly calculating that independent voters agree with him, Sullivan follows up with this sheepish correction: “The reader is wrong. The ABC poll shows independents favoring Cheney 42 - 37 percent.”

Oh, yes, Andrew – it was the reader who was wrong. But you wanted to believe that intelligence and went forward anyway, right? Tsk-tsk.
