Ooh, one poll, reflecting just 5% of American citizens (college students).
Another college poll, this one reflecting 78% of American citizens, came out today from AP-NORC.
68% of all adults say that state governments should NOT be able to restrict what professors teach at state universities.
That's 68% total. It would be even higher, except that the number of Republicans who support educational free expression trails behind Democratic support by nearly 20%.
Now let's do book bans. An NPR-Ipsos poll found that 35% of Republicans support state lawmakers removing certain books from schools and libraries.
Democrats? Just 5% support the classic tyrant go-to move.
