Neither party’s front-runner will be easily dislodged. But if no changes are made, Americans will get the worst dumpster fire of a campaign in history. It doesn’t have to be this way, and everyone but Messrs. Trump and Biden has good reason to try changing it. The party that picks a fresh face will likely win the White House.
That's why I support Ron DeSantis: a young-ish family man with an accomplished record in both federal and state offices. He would absolutely destroy Dementia Joe in the general election. I understand the affection the GOP base has for Trump but, practically speaking, we want to win. Trump is a gamble when voters are going to be choosing only to stop the other guy.

The Times/Siena polls were notable, of course, because they sent some Democrats into a tizzy and some Republicans into euphoria earlier this week. Trump came in with a higher share of the vote than Biden in five of these states among registered voters and in four of them among likely voters.
If the final results matched those polls, Trump would win the election.
But when Robert Kennedy Jr. was introduced as an option among likely voters, Trump was ahead of Biden in only two states (Georgia and Nevada). His 5-point leads in Arizona and Pennsylvania disappeared into ties. Biden held a well-within-the-margin-of-error edge in Pennsylvania, while the two were tied in Michigan.
Put another way, a clear Trump polling lead became a jumbled mess with no clear favorite to win in the Electoral College thanks to Kennedy.
The Republican divide-and-conquer plan to elevate Kennedy is really paying off.
Also:
Arizona will have an abortion measure on its ballot next November.
And a series of Arizona polls show Kari Lake losing a three-way race for Senator against Democrat Ruben Gallego (1st place) and incumbent Krysten Sinema (distant 3rd place). We'll see if Sinema even runs.
The year-out polls giveth, and the year-out polls taketh away.
Rasmussen: Biden over Trump by 4%
It's still foolish to get boned up over any single poll. Only posting this one because it's (heh) Rasmussen. Anything narrower in a Rasmussen poll than Trump by 11 points is bad news for Trump.
