Here's Chris Wallace on the Guy Benson radio show: "“The Damnedest Thing I’ve Ever Seen” Chris Wallace On Biden Campaign Not Putting Any Surrogates On Sunday Shows Before Convention." Emphasis in places is mine:
"So I've been doing Sunday shows with conventions. I started on Meet the Press in 1988. I've been doing it on and off. For what? What is that? Thirty two years. And and it always happens that the Sunday before the convention. The campaign puts out top officials to preview the convention and to say this is what we're gonna try to get accomplished. So, you know, we put counting all week on, you know, having a top official from the Biden campaign, the campaign manager, the top pollster, the chief strategist, to talk about what they're going to talk about during this next week. They are not putting anybody out. And at first I thought, well, maybe it's because it's Fox News and they're boycotting us. No, they're not putting anybody out on any of the Sunday shows point. I don't understand what's going on here. This is the damnedest thing I've ever seen that you would you know, you're basically giving a campaign. And as I say, it's a traditional thing. We're gonna do it for the Republicans a week from Sunday. What are you trying to accomplish this week? And they the Biden campaign isn't putting anybody out. And this just is of a piece with the the vice president not not doing really any serious interviews, not answering any questions since the rollout. I don't you know, you can you can try and I understand and has worked pretty well. And he continues to lead with what I'll call the basement strategy. I don't think you can hide from now until Election Day. I just I just don't think it's possible."
So we've already established that Joe Biden won't sit down for extended interviews and his appearances are tightly scripted before the staff comes in and chases reporters away. But now not even surrogates are going to sit down and answer questions? Exactly what is going on here?

You didn't evince this level of concern during the year when Trump's press secretary stopped briefing the press (yet never missed a paycheck of her $183,000 salary).
Exactly what is going on here?
August 15: Biden ahead by 8.5%
August 1: Biden by 8.3%
July 15: Biden by 9.1%
July 1: Biden by 9.5%
June 15: Biden by 8.3%
June 1: Biden by 6.2%
May 15: Biden by 5.6%
May 1: Biden by 6.1%
April 15: Biden by 4.8%
Biden's fundraising total in the year 2019: $60 million
Biden's fundraising this past Wednesday and Thursday: $48 million
Biden is leading Trump by more than 5% in Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada, Minnesota, Maine, and Nebraska. He also has small leads in North Carolina and Ohio.
But Trump's 2016 strength remains in Texas (0.5%), Georgia (0.4%), and Iowa (1.2%).
Unusually, Trump's polling deficit for his own reelection is greater than the GOP House's polling deficit. (See? Trump is still the greatest!)
That's what's going on here.
I think we're looking at two possibilities for the lack of surrogate press availability, Chris.
1.) The surrogates are trying to avoid creating a contrast between their availability and articulateness, and Hidin' Joe Biden's lack of both.
2.) Joe's dementia may be catching, and his surrogates now no longer have the mental agility to do interviews either.
In any event, they appear to be doubling down with the Basement Campaign. Apparently they do indeed intend to let this go on...
With luck, the Fox comedy will get stronger over the next 4 years. Then they won't have to giggle and guffaw and play circus music to sell their own... jokes?
Someone should compile the full list of all the things and developments that were finally, for real, going to turn around Trump's intubated reelection chances.
Poor General Soleimani. All blown to bits, and to bits of bits — yet Trump won't even win his new home state of Florida.
I don't think you can hide from now until Election Day. I just I just don't think it's possible.
Chris, Joe intends to prove that he can hide until election day.
Imagine the satisfaction he'll get in proving wrong all the people like you who say he can't.
"At least...at least I proved those junkies wrong," he'll say on that day.
He won't debate.
You can tell this is coming because all the media elites are pushing the narrative.
They know.
Mark my words, Christine Blasey Ford will never testif... I mean, Sundown Biden will never debate.
Yup, sometimes people make bad predictions.
Politico: "GOP insiders: Trump can't win
'Trump is underperforming so comprehensively...it would take video evidence of a smiling Hillary drowning a litter of puppies while terrorists surrounded her with chants of ‘Death to America,’' said an Iowa Republican."
Dateline: August 2016.
I don't think this is one of them. Biden will back out of the debates. Or, rather, he'll be told to.
You used to tout the betting markets, too.
Until Biden inevitably skips the debates for palliative hospice care, what was your last good political prediction?
I had to check: it was that somebody would sue to put their own political message on New York City streets.
A measly and obvious triumph... but congratulations, by itself that makes you much more astute than Scott Adams.
When Trump won, the Washington Post - tongue in cheek - said they had exactly one person on their "staff" who predicted it: Scott Adams.
So thanks.
I already posted Scott Adams' series of contradictory Trump-Clinton "predictions" from 2016, which either came to pass exactly as forecast or blew up in his face, depending on which mood swing it was.
In 2016 Dilbertian style, I predict the Dodgers will run away with the National League pennant, or barely win in a tight squeaker, or fall apart and not make the playoffs at all, or the baseball season will be cancelled, or they'll switch to soccer and win the Italian league title.
