Just making stuff up

The Corner: "A Times Reporter Gets the Facts Dead Wrong."  "One can reasonably disagree with the president’s choice to walk to St. John’s and take a photo with a Bible. But Times reporters should strive to meet a higher standard than making false claims easily disproven by consulting a transcript."

Just asked Nancy Pelosi about the WH comparing the church stop to Bush after 9/11 and Churchill in WWII. “I think they’re hallucinating,” she said.

The White House is falsely claiming that the anti-ramming security barriers outside the Chabad Jewish community centre in Sherman Oaks are actually weapons placed by "Antifa and professional anarchists".

The Washington Post:
Protesters' breach of temporary fences near White House complex prompted Secret Service to move Trump to secure bunker -- the president, the first lady and their son Barron were rushed to the bunker around 7 p.m. after the Secret Service upgraded the security situation from yellow to red.

President Trump:
“It was a false report. I went down during the day, and I was there for a tiny, little, short period of time, and it was much more for inspection. These problems are during the night, not during the day. Nope, they didn’t tell me that [it was a security situation] at all. They said it would be a good time to go down, take a look, because maybe sometime you’re going to need it."

Donald Trump on protesters amid coronavirus:
"They're the ones that are all claiming social distancing. And then they're jumping on top of each other by the thousands when they're screaming and ranting and raving."

Donald Trump on opening the country back up amid coronavirus:
“[On Easter] Wouldn’t it be great to have all the churches full? You’ll have packed churches all over our country. I think it’ll be a beautiful time.”
“We have to open our country again. We don’t want to be doing this for months, and months and months.“
“WE CANNOT LET THE CURE BE WORSE THAN THE PROBLEM ITSELF!”

AG William Barr says there was "no correlation" between his decision to clear Lafayette Square and the president's walk through the park a few minutes later.
