I don't understand why they keep jumping down these rabbit holes when - surely - they must know there's a whole group of conservatives waiting to fact-check.
Because it doesn't matter. Facts aren't important when you know your average supporter doesn't care about facts and just wants to be angry, so you keep spoon feeding them things to stay angry about. Despite actual facts and investigations, Trayvon Martin was an innocent angel who didn't do anything, Michael Brown had his hands up in a don't shoot pose, the Mueller investigation found actual proof that Trump colluded with Russia, or that Kavanaugh is a rapist. Read any comment section or places like reddit with a younger demographic and there are no limit to the ignorant who still believe these things, irregardless of the truth.
They are all about "it's science, duh" when it comes to global warming, but when it comes to abortion or sexual identity, they don't care that it's impossible to change the XX or XY chromosomes in each of the trillions of cells inside your body by cutting off your junk or taking some pills to grow tits. Buy an SUV and you are an ignorant, science denying deplorable for ignoring "science". If if you believe in gender science, you're a ignorant, racist deplorable.
They can't be honest and say we don't have enough rich people to tax to make everything free. The whole house of cards would come crumbling down if they admitted there isn't enough money to make everything free. 60 years ago Kennedy said "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." Usually when you get older, have a job, family and responsibilities, you tend to get more conservative. One way to combat that is to keep the gullible angry.
