I had seen this story in the main Springfield news source but now I see it's getting national attention. Fox News: "Reporter resigns after false tweet that Maryland shooting suspect had MAGA hat."
Yes, it was a dumb mistake, but it's interesting how these "mistakes" only go in one direction.
