As I predicted

Fox News: "ABC star Jimmy Kimmel's 'divisive,' politically charged Oscars were lowest on record."

Golly, I can't believe Americans didn't want to tune in to a lecture on identity politics.

Extra - Minuteman: "I guess the audience for an orgy of Hollywood self-congratulation isn't what it used to be."

Fun Fact: This year's lowest-rated Oscars will be the 4th- or 5th-highest rated U.S. broadcast of any kind in 2018.

Kent Brockman "Did you know that thirty-four million Americans are obese? Taken together, that excess blubber could fill the Grand Canyon two-fifths of the way up. That may not sound impressive, but keep in mind it is a very big canyon."

At this point, anybody who seriously thinks that the lowest-rated Oscars, or the lowest-rated Super Bowl, or the lowest-rated Olympics, or the lowest-rated anything is a giddy validation of their conservative values is either trolling for a reaction, or takes a personal pride in not understanding the television world of 2018. (And why not both?)

Donald Trump tweets:
Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY. Problem is, we don’t have Stars anymore - except your President (just kidding, of course)!

And Jimmy Kimmel tweets:
Thanks, lowest rated President in HISTORY.
