Some might say



From the American, here's the template to every Obama speech:

1. Invoke and exaggerate a problem.
2. Blame the last guy.
3. Invoke a straw man.
4. Baldly espouse optimistic drivel
5. Play Brer Rabbit

Example: "Some might say that we can't plug that hole, but I say that if we can put a man on the moon, we can succeed through cap-and-trade legislation."

This is the most amusingly inane part of the American column:

"3) Invoke a straw man - ‘Some people say we can’t fix this, that it’s too hasty/expensive/draconian/etc.’
Yes, and most of those people are right..."


The very worst straw men of all are the straw men who exist!
