Election update - Gotta sign off soon, but it looks like Specter is out but Mark Critz is going to win PA-12 by a wide margin, including Tim Burns' home county. Didn't see that coming. An astute commenter noted that the Sestak-Specter matchup drove up Democrat turnout. Continuous updates all night at the Real Clear Politics blog.

The Democrats have now gone 7-0 in the last seven special elections: besides PA-12, there's been IL-14, LA-6, MS-1, NY-20, NY-23, and CA-11.

Sensible people might want to be judicious about sounding the 2010 electoral tsunami alarm system.

7-1: Scott Brown's election was omitted. Which is still a pretty good %.

That was the Senate. The Dems have won the last 7 in the House. That streak will be snapped in Hawaii this weekend, but only because of the wacky dynamics: 2 Democrats and 1 Republican. The seat will go back to blue in November.
