Hey, I just said that! - GMTA and such from the WashPost: "If anything animates Mr. Obama's critics in this country, it is the impression that he is the focus of a global cult of personality."

Update (10/11) - Hey, I said that, too! John Bolton in the NY Post: "O's albatross."

Heh, yes you did.

I believe that there was an underlying "kick GW Bush in the nuts one last time" in handing out the prize to Obambie.
So an already cheapened award was cheapened even futher.
What sucks the most is that every other candidate on the list actually suffered and accomplished things that really mattered, and they get nil.
No offense but aren't you Norweigian? Bitch. :)

Thanks for calling our attention to the Washington Post's insightful editorial, "Our Laureate: Neda of Iran." Next, perhaps you'll get the attention of the WaPo's editorial board, and inform them that the Nobel Committee is prohibited by its own bylaws from awarding posthumous honors.

It's even on Google. The #1 match for "posthumous Nobel Prize." But criticizing "the impression" of Obama's "global cult of personality" is a pressing message that's too important to delay. Why waste an intern's time with factchecking?

Especially when there are more substantial, non-rhetorical candidates of longterm accomplishment out there.... like the girl who got shot.
