Worst movie list ever

Roger Ebert Jim Emerson lists the 101 movies you must see before you die. Omission of “This is Spinal Tap” = instantly discredited bunk. (I’ve seen 51. HT: Fark)

Update: Whoops. It was on Roger Ebert's web site, but the list is by Jim Emerson.

The list appears to be Jim Emerson's, not Roger Ebert's. 91 here.

91!?! Wow, and I was proud to have seen "The 400 Blows."

I've only seen 12 of them, and I'm 34! Anyway, this list is bunk without:

- Fast Times at Ridgmenont High
- Back to School
- My Cousin Vinny
- Once Upon A Time In America

I'll second "Fast Times".

Also, no BLUES BROTHERS!

Blasphemy!

And, "E.T."???

Please.

And, add "Better Off Dead".

Ahhh, whatever. It helps to have been a film major. Besides, I'd only heartily recommend 50 or 60 of 'em.

Beyond the more obvious entries, and guessing which titles might just be in your unseen 49, you should see "The Third Man," "The Best Years of Our Lives," "Red River," "The Bicycle Thief," "Children of Paradise," and "The Lady Eve." And WHERE, I ask you, is "Big Momma's House"? Perfidy!
