DNC chair: “DeLay is guilty, guilty, guilty!”

But let’s give Osama the benefit of the doubt:

"I've resisted pronouncing a sentence before guilt is found," [Howard] Dean said during the 2004 Democratic primary campaign. "I still have this old-fashioned notion that even with people like Osama, who is very likely to be found guilty, we should do our best not to, in positions of executive power, not to prejudge jury trials."
Oh, Howard! You're a present all tied up with a bow.

People in public discourse, still haven't caught up to the reality, that comments made in the past will be measured against what they say now.

Thanks for the welcome... and great job digging up the quote. You're quite right about Howard including the gift wrap. LOL

Poor-man's trackback, from another Cornerite, who also blogs:

I referenced this article in my blog post Thank you note to Liberals at my blog Ponytailed Conservative. Short excerpt: "Here's what Howard Dean had to say about Tom DeLay, just the other day:

'He should go back to Texas and serve his jail term.'"

note to Eric: I'm a programmer who consults on blogs, among other things. If you want help making real trackbacks available here at Viking Pundit, get in touch. I can help for a VERY, VERY nominal fee.

Regardless of where one comes down on Tom Delay, this is rich. This is the head of the Democratic National Committee. This was a front runner to be the Democratic nominee for President of the United States of America. This is . . . Embarrassing.

Thanks for juxtaposing these quotes for us. I posted a link here as well.
