The inescapable implication of Senator Kerry's statements is that he has decided there is a 'price' at which an American life is too costly. 3,000 dead noncombatants - $200 billion - 1,000 dead combatants - do the math.
This isn't just contemptible, it's insane. Are we to bank the money until there are 10,000 dead women and children? 100,000? What should an American's life be worth to our President? Are we all just cardboard cut-outs to this scion of the liberal elite? Is the life of a farmer worth as much as a New York art critic?
