Is there any reason why the Biden administration would not want the person who brought the cocaine into the White House to be prosecuted? Because on Wednesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre wouldn’t answer that question.
KJP just won't get into "hypotheticals" even on the simple question as to whether somebody who committed a crime should be charged with that crime.
We can think of one person who is a frequent visitor to the White House, whose name does not appear in the White House visitor logs, and who was, at one point in the not-too-distant past was “smoking crack every 15 minutes” and living with a serious addiction to cocaine. Even if this particular figure did not bring the cocaine, it is not hard to imagine a scenario where a relapsing addict wanted someone else to bring him drugs. And this is a person that the president would not want to see prosecuted.
As Amy Curtis notes, where are the "decency" and "restoration of norms" media stars now?
