Data point: The Nielsen TV rating for the conservative, pro-American cop show with a strong male lead "Blue Bloods" has tumbled to less than half the viewership of what it used to have.
And yet, while losing viewers, "Blue Bloods" has moved up the ranks, climbing into the top ten network shows.
Back when its audience was twice as large, it was at the bottom of the Top 20.
Maybe an in everyone's face pro-American project with a strong male lead can save everything for everybody.
Or maybe no media is still being consumed in the manner it once was. Just spitballing here.
