Look, folks, today I’d like to speak about my top economic priority: fighting inflation. I understand Americans are anxious, and they’re anxious with good reason. I was raised in a household when the price of gasoline rose precipitously, it was the discussion at the table. It made a difference when food prices went up.
Every time. Every economic speech. And now on to the dodge:
But we’ve never seen anything like Putin’s tax on both food and gas.
Then he prattles through the job numbers which nobody cares about when real wages are declining because Americans paying $460 a month more than they did a year ago for basic supplies.

Supply. Refinery capacity was cut by nearly 300 million barrels a year in 2020. Biden's fault.
Demand. Because of lower product, oil companies are using price margins to create record-setting profits. Biden's fault.
Geopolitics. Putin invaded Ukraine, driving up food and energy prices all over the Earth. Biden's fault.
President Trump on April 2, 2020:
Just spoke to my friend MBS (Crown Prince) of Saudi Arabia, who spoke with President Putin of Russia, & I expect & hope that they will be cutting back approximately 10 Million Barrels, and maybe substantially more which, if it happens, will be GREAT for the oil & gas industry!
Yeah, GREAT. Just GREAT. But at least Trump was happy. Most days in 2020, he wasn't happy.
The buck stops elsewhere for Dementia Joe.
And yet, Dementia Joe hasn't had several Cabinet members discussing whether to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove a mentally unfit President.
We now know that Donald Trump's Cabinet (Pence, Pompeo, Mnuchin, DeVos, etc) were forced to have those unprecedented conversations.
On January 6, 2020, Acting President Mike Pence was the one issuing orders to DOD, DHS, and the DOJ, and those orders were followed. While the "Commander-in-Chief" watched TV.
The buck stops elsewhere for Dementia Joe.
