It's tragic that there are these two choices, and only these two choices.
There's simply no intelligent way for the adults in the room to deal with Vladimir Putin other than "why antagonize Russia for no gain by publicly branding it our enemy?" or "Yeah yeah, anything you say, Spike, 'cause you and me is pals, ain't we, Spike?" One of these two approaches MUST be smart leadership; that's just logic.
