An utterly ridiculous tantrum. There is no free speech argument here: the AP can write whatever they want. Also: the White House can grant or restrict access to any media outfit.
The AP, known for imposing their constantly changing and woke "Stylebook" upon journalists, objects to having to use the actual official name of a body of water, in order to show they are part of Le Resistance... but no real-world consequences should flow from that decision.
