One of these is not like the other, America - Which of these parties do you want handling your money?  Stacy McCain: "RNC trounces DNC in fundraising as Democrat party goes bankrupt."  Oh, DWS, we shall miss you.

Extra - Mark Steyn: "The party that gave us annual trillion-dollar deficits as a permanent feature of life applies the same model closer to home."

  1. Neither one is going to reduce the debt. This fight was fought and lost in the Reagan years. The last time the Republicans controlled the Presidency and Congress, from 2005-2007, it made no difference. We're over the falls without a parachute.

  2. I tend to agree: the only sane thing to do is to cut entitlements and both Bush (prescription drug benefit) and Obama (Obamacare) expanded 'em.

The political warfare to reach a deal would be savage.

  3. The DNC had way more cash on hand in 2010 than the RNC. In 2008, flip it: the RNC was sitting on literally 13 times more money than the DNC.

This kind of data is always good for a hearty Nelson Muntz "HAA-ha!", but it isn't a canary in the coal mine.
