I did not mean to imply the next deficit commission will be useless - I meant to state it as forthrightly, lucidly, and unambiguously as possible. Nancy Pelosi: "My deficit committee members will oppose all entitlement benefit cuts."

    Which should be grounds for not allowing any of her picks to be allowed anywhere near the group.

    I mean, how stupid is it to pre-condition appointments of people whose sole goal is to thwart the purpose they are being brought together?
