The AMA's support was entirely contingent on the "doc fix" legislation that would have added $250 billion on top of the trillion dollars Congress is already planning to spend. In a rare moment of sanity, that bill was voted down last month.
See how far the AMA supports reform without this funding.
Apparently Harvard Medical School beats Harvard Law School, when legislation rhetoric is needed. And rock breaks scissors!
ReplyDeleteI was merely pointing out that Krauthammer is a doctor.
ReplyDeleteWhat does Harvard Law School have to say about the legislation? Does the Commerce Clause give Congress the power to make people eat spinach?
The AMA publicly endorses the health care legislation. And they have at least TWO doctors!

Whereas the guileless Charles Krauthammer is a blank slate who opposes Barack Obama only on the merits, on a case by case basis.
ReplyDeleteThat's right: criticizing awful legislation in a detailed manner = politics. Probably racism too.
ReplyDeleteI see, Krauthammer's column isn't filthy politics, of all things. It's impartial medical research.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what the courtroom lawyer James Carville has to say about the legal details of health care reform?
