Too bad it's him. A court of nine Souters (or Anthony Kennedys) would be infinitely preferable to the preordained string of votes we get from the one-ideology-fits-all Scalia and Ginsberg, Thomas and Stevens. They're like starting a ping pong match with a 3-3 score instead of 0-0.
