NASCAR art

From the NYT: “A New Film Documents One Town’s Automotive Version of Graffiti” By the way, wasn’t Kurt Busch totally hosed with that pit road red light at Watkins Glen? He’s got a good record at Michigan, though, so there’s still a chance he’ll make the Chase.

  1. Eric,

The art pictured was done by, as we call them at TCCoA, one wheel wonders.

Unless Busch's spotters told him the caution was coming and he gambled that he could beat it, in which he deserved the penalty.

Since his crew chief knew pit road was closed, and it was close, he should have waived Busch through the pit. Then Nascar wouldn't have penalized him to the back of the longest line, and he probably would have re-started in 15-20th position. Dumb call by the cc and Busch. He's an arrogant little prick anyway.
