Unless Busch's spotters told him the caution was coming and he gambled that he could beat it, in which he deserved the penalty.
ReplyDeleteSince his crew chief knew pit road was closed, and it was close, he should have waived Busch through the pit. Then Nascar wouldn't have penalized him to the back of the longest line, and he probably would have re-started in 15-20th position. Dumb call by the cc and Busch. He's an arrogant little prick anyway.
