I *heart* my satellite radio – From the NY Times: “Satellite radio takes off, altering the airwaves” (HT: Roth Report) In response, commercial radio is adding “hundreds of songs to once-rigid playlists.” Too late. That’s exactly why I signed up for XM in the first place. How many times can you listen to “Sledgehammer” for heaven’s sake? Peter Gabriel has other songs, you know.

Sirius' 80's and Back Spin Hip-Hop stations remind me of the stations I used to work at: They play the same shit all the time. No different. However, I like that type of same old shit, so paying the $12.95 a month is well-worth it to me. Not to mention all of the other stuff.

What I wish Sirius or XM would be able to do is broadcast "out of market" stations. For example, I live in Albuquerque now, but I'd pay $25 a month easy to hear Philly stations, especially WIP sports radio. I hope they pull that out one day.
